Shhhh...It's a Secret

Shortly after I began working at The Art of Excellence, I was asked to order a book and DVD for our office library...The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. When it arrived Sylvie was very anxious to see it and suggested we both take a break and watch the movie. I had never heard of the law of attraction and have to admit I had never even picked up a 'self help' book in my life. We began to watch the movie and it was the biggest aha moment of my life. I was mesmerized by what they were telling me and it all seemed so right and it all just made so much sense. I think I read the book and watched the movie at least five times in the next couple of months and I began taking notice of my thoughts more.

One of my favourite things in the movie was when they said that with the law of attraction they never had to hunt for a parking spot because there was always a perfect spot waiting for them whenever they needed it. I began thinking in that manner and from that time on I can honestly say that when I go to the mall, no matter how busy it is I know that I will not have a problem finding a parking spot close to the entrance. I tell myself that there will be a handy spot for me and there always is! I love it!

The Law of Attraction or 'The Secret' is simply that like attracts like. If you have a negative attitude and find fault with everything then absolutely you will attract exactly that. Its like getting up in the morning and stubbing your toe and then burning your toast and spilling coffee on your blouse. If you make the choice to let it continue then you are in for one miserable day. So, taking that same scenario getting up and stubbing your toe however not letting that set your pace by telling yourself  that it is a wonderful day and stubbing your toe was just a little reminder of  how fortunate you are to be alive, and that you are going to have an amazing day - guess what - you will have an amazing day!

Well, that day watching "The Secret" with Sylvie was I believe the first day of my journey. I am so thankful everyday for the opportunities that have opened up for me. First of all just by getting 'my job of a lifetime with Sylvie' but even more from learning about the law of attraction and how it is changing my world.
